    Heb zonet mijn veranda dakplaten bij elkaar kunnen oprapen.
    Gewoon eventjes omhoog getrokken en weg geblazen.
    Evenzo bij mijn buurman. 2 lichtkoepels door de lucht en foetsie.
    Heb vanmiddag als ie weer bedaard is een stormschade te melden.
    Dat is echt zware pech.
    Hoop voor u dat de schade achteraf te overzien is en goed op te lossen is.

    Dat feit is dan een schrale troost.
    Maar het had véél erger kunnen uitvallen.
    Intussen is de storm flink aan het afnemen.
    Dan kunnen we straks wat foto's ervan maken en opsturen naar de verz mij.

    Why The Juno Acquisition Talks Leaked

    Summary
    The WSJ reports rumors that Celgene is in discussions to potentially acquire Juno Therapeutics.

    Given the potential for Juno's JCAR017 potential as a best-in-class CD19 CAR-T therapy, this isn't surprise.

    What is interesting is that the news of deal talks "leaked;" this article will explore potential reasons why the news got out.

    Background:
    Last night rumors leaked in a WSJ article that Celgene (CELG) is in discussions to potentially acquire Juno Therapeutics (JUNO). To readers of mine on Seeking Alpha, this shouldn't be a surprise. I was the first to highlight that Juno's JCAR017 has potential to be the "best-in-class" CD19 CAR-T product (Watch Out Gilead, Juno's Strategy Might Just Pay Off) with the potential of an improved safety profile to transform the market by moving CAR-T therapy out of the hospital and to the more attractive out-patient setting (Did ASH Just Change The Juno Best In Class Thesis?). I even highlighted Juno as one of my top picks for 2018 and naming Celgene specifically as a potential acquirer. The interesting thing to me is not that deal talks are underway, but rather that the deal talks were made public.

    So why did the news of a potential deal get out?
    I can come up with two possible explanations:

    Explanation #1: To make the deal more palatable to investors

    In 2017, Gilead (GILD) made headlines by acquiring Kite Pharma for just under $12 billion for its recently approved CD19 CAR-T therapy YESCARTA. Given that Juno's management likely believes that its JCAR017 is potentially superior to YESCARTA, investors would expect that Juno should be worth close to if not more than the $12 billion Gilead paid for Kite. Where this gets complicated is prior to the news of deal talks, Juno's stock was trading near $45 a share with a market cap of roughly $5 billion. This meant that to get near $12 billion that Kite got would require roughly 150% premium to the trading price. This would clearly be difficult for Celgene to sell to already disgruntled investors when Gilead paid a much more modest 29% premium to acquire Kite. With the news out Juno's stock price has jumped nearly 50%, bringing the market cap close to $8.0 billion. With the higher stock price, Celgene can now potentially acquire Juno for close to the $12 billion paid for Kite with a more modest ~30% premium.

    verwacht vanmiddag toch weer een stijging. Het volume in de bied is erg hoog in verhouding tot het verhandelde volume. In eerdere situaties leidde dit tot plotselinge stijgingen. We will see....
