   Obama administration pointed at imminent major expension of cellulosic ethanol, report says; database of 2nd gen ethanol plants
   In Washington, Industry Week, following an interview with DuPont Danisco CEO Joe Slurka, speculated that the Obama Administration is about to embark on a major expansion of cellulosic ethanol. The report points to the appointment of Steve Koonin, former chief scientist at BP, to the position of Under-Secretary of Energy, reporting to Energy Secretary Dr. Steven Chu. Koonin and Chu are both former physicists who worked together through Energy Biosciences Insitute. “There are a multitude of folks chasing this cellulosic ethanol grail,” Skurla told Industry Week. “Those that are aligned with large companies and have their own funding are more likely to succeed.”
   
   The following cellulosic ethanol plants are now open or in the pre-planning stages in the United States (sources, IEA Task 39 Group, Biofuels Digest, Reuters: company name, location, capacity in Mgy and feedstock).

   BARACK OBAMA’S PLAN TO CREATE 5 MILLION NEW GREEN JOBS
   
   Barack Obama will invest $150 billion over 10 years to advance the next generation of biofuels and fuel infrastructure, accelerate the commercialization of plug-in hybrids, promote development of commercial scale renewable energy, invest in low emissions coal plants, and begin transition to a new digital electricity grid. A principal focus of this fund will be devoted to ensuring that technologies are developed in the U.S. and are rapidly commercialized in the U.S. and deployed around the globe. These investments will help states like Pennsylvania revitalize local economies.
   
   Barack Obama has been one of the strongest proponents in Congress for increasing the national supply of home-grown American ethanol and biodiesel. Obama is the only Democratic presidential candidate to cosponsor and actively campaign to establish the nation’s first federal
   Renewable Fuel Standard, which is now law. In the U.S. Senate, Obama introduced a proposal to create the first national Renewable Diesel Standard to increase our country’s production and supply of American-grown
   biodiesel. Obama also led the successful effort to make gas stations eligible for a tax credit to cover 30 percent of the costs of installing E85 ethanol refueling pumps. Obama will build on those efforts to improve the production, supply and distribution of advanced biofuels like cellulosic ethanol and biodiesel.
   
   • Develop the Next Generation of Biofuels: Barack Obama will work to ensure that advanced biofuels, including cellulosic ethanol, are developed and incorporated into our national supply as soon as possible.
   Obama will invest federal resources, including tax incentives, cash prizes and government contracts into developing the most promising technologies with the goal of getting the first two billion gallons of
   cellulosic ethanol into the system by 2013.
   • Expand Locally-Owned Biofuel Refineries: Less than 10 percent of new ethanol production today is from farmer-owned refineries. New ethanol and biodiesel refineries help jumpstart rural economies.
   For example, it has been estimated that a 40 million gallon ethanol refinery will add up to 120 jobs, expand a local tax base by $70 million per year and boost local household income by $6.7 million
   annually. The economic development opportunities for advanced cellulosic ethanol technologies hold potential to revitalize rural communities across the country. Barack Obama believes we must ensure that local investment continues to play a significant role as the biofuels industry continues to expand and evolve. Obama will create a number of incentives for local communities to invest in their biofuels refineries, including expanding federal tax credit programs and providing technical advice to rural communities that are in a strong position to open their own refineries. Obama will also provide an additional subsidy per gallon of ethanol produced from new facilities that have a minimum of 25 percent
   local capital, and he will provide additional loan guarantees for advanced ethanol facilities with local investment.

   Austin W. Marxe en David M. Greenhouse hadden 8 miljoen aandelen.
   
   In de sec filing van 9 april valt te lezen dat ze er 4 miljoen bij hebben gekocht en nu bijna 12 miljoen aandelen bezitten.
   
   Er staan 75 miljoen aandelen uit, dus nu zo'n 15% in handen.

    Als de beurs stijgt verdien je bijna met elk aandeel wel.
    
    De kunst is om heel selectief op het juiste moment het juiste aandeel eruit te pikken.
    
    Maar nog veel belangrijker is om je meeste tijd te besteden aan zaken die er echt om doen: de zon, je familie, je vrienden, een goed boek of goede film, je werk etc.
    
    Beurs moet leuk zijn en blijven en geen verslaving worden.
    
    Er zijn er genoeg die hier nooit posten en tig veel meer verdienen.
    
    Wij hebben gewoon wat geldingsdrang en het succes van een aandeel moet dat bewijzen :-)
    
    Jammer dat bijna niemand echt rijk wordt van beleggen. En als ze roepen, "ja maar ik wel", dan zijn het ook nog eens leugenaars.

    u heeft geheel gelijk.
    
    tussendoor als ik effe een bakje drink of weet ik wat, dan moet ik effe kijken haha.
    werkt echt verslavend en dat is inderdaad ergerlijk.
    maar ook bij verlies blijf ik lachen gelukkig :-)
    
    zoals ik op vorig draadje al schreef, nu ga ik nog weer lekker even naar buiten genieten van de heerlijke avond en een borrel :-)

    even lekker muziekje aan het luisteren.
    bietje donker nu buiten, dan moet ik mijn borrel op de tast vinden (niet dat dat zo moeilijk is :-))
    
    maar ja inderdaad, wat moet je eruit gooien.
    ik watch al oa een aandeel welke in de tussen tijd dik 300% gestegen is. haha (en nu dik boven de dollar eigenlijk al twee dollar(ja durf dus te duur voor roos ;-))
    een beetje te lang gewatched? .....

    Dat nieuws was vanochtend vroeg voorbeurs al bekend (zag het al op Yahoo staan). De koers deed vervolgens weinig. Interessant aandeel dat ik al een tijdje aan het volgen ben door dit draadje. Zit zeker wel potentie in gezien de berichten van de laatste tijd en de bijzonder lage koers. Ik blijf het nog even volgen. Kan me wel in prozaque vinden om op een verkoopmoment boven $3 in te zetten. Als deze gaat, gaat 'ie ook goed is mijn inschatting.

    was een royatie blijven hangen :-(
