   With regard to the outlook, global growth remains relatively strong and the demand/supply balance is tight by historical standards, generally supportive of a positive outlook for 2005. Stock building in European and North American markets has softened demand in the first half of 2005, but the resumption of demand from China is expected to progressively restore balance. Overall, we expect the first half trading environment to be broadly in line with the second half of last year.
   
   As the year progresses we see conditions as more uncertain.
   
   We will look to recover the significant raw material cost increases through higher selling prices and we expect further benefits from Restoring Success.

   Ik ga er gemakshalve van uit dat wellicht iets lagere resultaten in H2 2005 worden gecompenseerd door effecten van restoring success. Dus jaarwinst zal ongeveer 2 x winst H1 zijn.

   Zou mooi zijn. Al denk ik als dat het "Restoring Succes" effect al grotendeels zal zijn uitgewerkt en moet rekening gehouden worden met grotere competitie van andere "high quality" steelmakers (arcelor heeft al aangegeven dat ze geen winst groei meer verwachten over 2005)
