    'Nokia werkt aan grote deal met Alcatel'
    PARIJS (AFN) -

    Nokia werkt aan de overname van de draadloze activiteiten van de Franse producent van netwerkapparatuur Alcatel-Lucent. Dat meldde persbureau Bloomberg maandag op basis van ingewijden.

    Het Finse Nokia verkocht zijn tak die mobiele telefoons maakte in 2013 aan Microsoft en richt zich sindsdien vooral op netwerkapparatuur. Eind vorige week meldden ingewijden al dat het bedrijf ook werkt aan de verkoop van zijn onderdeel dat navigatiekaarten maakt, om de aandacht nog meer op netwerken te kunnen richten en de financiële positie te versterken.

    Nokia heeft volgens de bronnen overwogen heel Alcatel-Lucent over te nemen, maar houdt het waarschijnlijk op de draadloze apparatuur. Dat onderdeel was vorig jaar goed voor een omzet van 4,7 miljard euro. Er zou nog geen definitief akkoord zijn gesloten en de deal kan volgens de ingewijden nog worden afgeblazen.

    Nokia zou onder meer nog werken aan een akkoord met de Franse overheid. Die zou onder meer eisen dat onderzoeksbanen in Frankrijk behouden blijven.

    dit zeg ik al sinds vrijdag. Kijk naar de spikes in volume en koers van nokia, alcatel lucent en tomtom en dit zijn alledrie aandelen waarin (soms dezelfde) hedgefunds actief zijn die een positie te coveren hebben. Bij alu geldt dat het sterkst.

    Ik denk dat het een gevalletje èn/èn is. Nokia weet naast hun Alcatel plannen OOK dat HERE gezien is! Strategisch zijn ze denk ik wel goed bezig doordat ze zich volledig gaan richten op de netwerkkant van IoT. Ze weten dat ze op dat vlak met HERE absoluut geen vuist konden gaan maken t.o.v. het vele malen innovatievere TomTom!
