    Wie weet nog wat de connectie was met Nvidia?
    Mercedes gaat hun vloot autonoom laten rijden met de chips van Nvidia.

    mmmm.... Toch aardig wat connecties met Here. Ook in Munich. Als Nvidia de leader is/wordt, dan lijkt samenwerking voor de hand te liggen. Maar wie stuurt die heleboel dan aan? Ah, ik weet het al. Azure!
    We gaan een goede tijd tegen moet.

    Nvidia heeft snelle processors n de DriveX is compatible met alle grote mapmakers ...... HERE en TT....Mercedes en BMW gaan ieder eigen weg.

    A Scalable Ecosystem

    While Xavier makes it possible for localization to work in real time, the system must also be able to perform this process wherever the car drives. To do so, NVIDIA turned to partners that have dedicated years and vast resources to building HD maps of the world’s roads — among them, Baidu, HERE, NavInfo, TomTom and Zenrin, which have made their maps compatible with DRIVE Software for global localization.

    Additionally, NVIDIA is expanding the mapping ecosystem with its DRIVE Maps format, allowing any map vendor to convert to this format to leverage DRIVE Localization directly, laying the foundation to access further capabilities of the system.

    The world’s top HD mapping companies expressed support for the initiative. Among them:

    Tesla gebruikt ook Nvidia .......

    Tesla’s Autopilot was still enabled by Nvidia’s SoCs and GPU.

    Niet uitgesloten is dat visie BMW en Daimler te veel van elkaar verschilden en ze daarom de samenwerking in hold hebben gezet. Maw misschien kiest Mercedes wel voor Tesla oplossing

    NB vergeet niet dat Apple zijn eigen rekenchips ter vervanging aanbrengt in haar PC's en dat ook Tesla veel investeert in haar eigen eigen rekenprocessor.

    Nvidia is de hardware leverancier..

    Tomtom levert gedeelte van de software.

    nvidia kan met zowel here als tomtom

    Tesla zegt ervan uit te gaan GEEN lidar en HDmaps nodig te hebben om te komen tot Automotive driving.

    Met de uitbreiding naar het in eigen beheer ontwikkelen van de centrale rekencomputer dient de volgende bedreiging zich aan voor de hardware-leverantiers.
    De druk op de HD-maps suppliers is er nog altijd.

    Laten we het hebben over het platform. ( tansactional systeem )
    We hebben een uniek platform.
    Of Google het heeft, ik weet het niet ik kan niet in de keuken kijken.
    Wat ik wel weet, Here heeft het niet.

    Volgens mij heb je een platform nodig, vers up to date.

    Here heeft geen platform.

    Kun je dan een grote rol spelen in semi automotive of automotive.
