    2015 was a rollercoaster year and 2020 will be...

    Veel dank Onno voor de rustige en bemoedigende woorden, en dank Wall Street Trader voor je poëtische bijdrage! Uit hetzelfde en inderdaad zeer toepasselijke gedicht van Kipling komen de volgende twee regels, die boven de toegangsdeur naar het Centre Court van Wimbledon staan en het laatste zijn dat de spelers zien wanneer ze de baan oplopen; de regels zijn ook op de beurs zeer van toepassing:

    Goed om in deze tijden een geruststellend bericht van de CEO te krijgen. Ik blijf long zitten en overweeg bij te kopen, veel vertrouwen in dit bedrijf ondanks dat de conjunctuur nu tegen zit.

    The COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread, and in our commitment to provide transparency to our stakeholders, I want to share an update on our clinical trials.
    It was decided to pause enrolment into the filgotinib trials in order to help protect patient safety. This includes the Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials of filgotinib in Crohn’s disease (DIVERSITY), the Phase 3 in psoriatic arthritis (SELECTION), the Phase 2 trial in uveitis, and the MANTA and MANTA-RAy trials.
    We anticipate the Phase 3 program in ankylosing spondylitis will now start later this year.
    This does not impact the Phase 3 SELECTION program in ulcerative colitis, as this study is fully enrolled, and we still expect results in the second quarter of this year.
    I want to assure you that the Galapagos team continues to face this unprecedented situation with resilience. And as challenging as the COVID-19 crisis is, this too shall pass. Supported by a strong balance sheet, I firmly believe that we can weather this storm. This also comes with a responsibility that we do not take lightly: we are more determined than ever in our unwavering ambition to bring innovation to patients worldwide.

    Dit was te verwachten nieuws.

    Met meer en meer ziekenhuisbedden vol en meer en meer verzorgend personeel
    dat besmet raakt, is het logisch dat er dit soort keuzes wordt gemaakt: het
    medisch personeel is nu elders, harder nodig.

    Ik denk zelfs dat het gewoon van hogerhand is opgelegd: "It was decided..."
    en niet "We decided...".

    Dan kan Onno dus beter zelf even het voortouw nemen, dan dat beleggers zo
    dadelijk op de CT-site, diverse studies op "halted" zien staan.

    Soit: vertragingen, qua data-publicatie, zouden bio-beleggers zo zoetjes aan
    toch gewoon moeten zijn. En deze keer is er een héél plausibele reden.

    Dit moest via Persbericht verstuurd worden.
    Wie geen Twitter account heeft en wie niet enkel op IEX forum leest laat men in de kou staan.
    Onbegrijpelijk.
    Het negeren van het andere BE forum wordt op deze wijze pijnlijker dan ooit.
    Ik vroeg al meermaals om ook daar een account aan te maken door een medewerker dienst communicatie om de beleggers van Galapagos daar ook te informeren.
    In goede tijden ben ik de eerste om alles uit de kast te halen om het forum daar gunstig gestemd te krijgen.

    Persbericht komt enkel via Gilëad.
    Dit plaatst het communiceren in geheel ander daglicht voor mij.
    De extra communicatie is dus meer dan ok.
    Blijf ik enkel lastig dat kanaal ander forum in 2020 niet onbestaande hoeft te blijven met 5750 leden.

    @ Piddy.bull Het bericht van Onno staat overigens wel op de GLPG website, maar niet als persbericht (want zoals eerder vermeld ligt dit in de verantwoordelijkheid van Gilead)
