    Paris Motor Show, France, October 2, 2018 TomTom (TOM2) today announced that it has been chosen by the BMW Group to provide drivers with Live TomTom Traffic information, Online Routing and Electric Vehicle (EV) Services for BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles.

    The deal is being announced after an extensive testing programme that began in April 2018.

    TomTom Traffic provides drivers with live updates on upcoming traffic and delays, keeping the driver informed and reducing their total travel time. TomTom’s Online Routing technology uses cloud-based processing power to quickly send alternative routes to the navigation system embedded in the vehicle.

    TomTom’s EV Service provides drivers with information on the distance that their vehicle can travel before running out of charge, and plans the most efficient route to a charging point on their journey which is suitable for their vehicle and is actually available at the right time.

    Antoine Saucier, Managing Director TomTom Automotive, comments “TomTom’s vision is a safe, connected and autonomous world, free of congestion and emissions. The introduction of TomTom Live Traffic, Online Routing and Electric Vehicle Services into BMW vehicles is a huge step forwards to achieve this goal.”

    Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Opel and Vauxhall Drivers to Continue to Enjoy Driving with TomTom Navigation and Live Services

    Paris Motor Show, France, October 2, 2018 TomTom (TOM2) today announced that it has been awarded an extension to an existing deal to provide navigation components to PSA beyond 2020. Drivers of Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Opel and Vauxhall vehicles will continue to enjoy driving with TomTom’s full suite of navigation components including automotive grade maps, award-winning navigation and routing, and live services such as traffic information.

    "We’re happy to extend our deal with PSA,” said Antoine Saucier, Managing Director, TomTom Automotive. “With our complete stack of highly-accurate maps, navigation software and real-time traffic information, TomTom is uniquely positioned in the automotive industry.”

    Over 1 million PSA vehicles have already been sold in 2018 with TomTom’s full stack of navigation components.

    Paris Motor Show, Frankrijk, 2 oktober 2018 TomTom (TOM2) heeft vandaag aangekondigd dat de BMW Group heeft gekozen om bestuurders te voorzien van Live TomTom verkeersinformatie, online routing en elektrische voertuigen (EV) voor BMW, MINI en Rolls. Royce-voertuigen.

    De deal wordt aangekondigd na een uitgebreid testprogramma dat begon in april 2018.

    TomTom Traffic biedt bestuurders live updates over aankomend verkeer en vertragingen, zodat de bestuurder op de hoogte blijft en de totale reistijd wordt verkort.
